We talk a lot about data in the grocery world. Loyalty cards, point-of-sale transactions, supply chain logistics – these have been the bedrock of analytics for years, helping retailers and CPG brands understand what customers buy and when.

But in today's increasingly volatile market, are we missing a crucial, predictive layer?

My thesis is simple: Incorporating sophisticated weather data into grocery analytics can dramatically improve the customer experience. Think increased in-stock levels, optimized pricing, hyper-local targeted marketing, and even more efficient staffing.
