Premature Elaboration? The Mid-Summer Cool Snap That's Accelerating Fall Demand
This weekend's cool front is a powerful, short-lived signal, but the consumer behaviors it's driving are a harbinger of a robust season ahead.
It was hot last week.
How hot? This hot …
And I felt the heat … strongly.
That’s because the mini-split air conditioner that cools the in-law suite (i.e where my wife and I sleep) at our cottage near the Delaware shore was on the fritz.
Of course it was.
Because, Murphy’s Law.
As a temporary/emergency measure I purchased a small window air conditioner at BJ’s Wholesale after searching for a similar model at Lowes … they were sold out (!).
At any rate, the small AC did the trick and saved the day and we had a successful few days at the shore. We beat the heat, but not the biting flys … the little bastards!
But I digress.
